Location
India is located on the Indostan Peninsula, bordering Pakistan, China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh. The water borders are with Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. Second in population and 7th by territory in the world, it is a country of contrasts, divided into 29 states.
Transportation

English is also the official language and is spoken by nearly 130 million people in the country. In India are also spoken: Bengali, Marathi, Telugu.
Currency
The official currency in India is the Indian rupee. Before you exchange money, check the current exchange rate in the country. If you make the exchange in the resort towns, do so at the authorized currency exchange centres, not in doubtful places, because you risk being given false notes.
Visas
All tourists wishing to visit India need a visa without Bhutan and Nepal. The tourist visas are issued for a two-month period. Visa prices vary between 50-100 dollars according to the country you are coming from.
Electricity
Contacts in India are of type C, D and M. Voltage is 230v. Type C known as the European type, respectively it works with adapter E and F. M-type contacts work only with M adapter, and type D only with adapter D and are most widespread in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and some African countries.

What do I put in my luggage?
It depends mainly on what time of year you are traveling and in which part of India you will be. Most of the country has a warm and mild climate, and the evening becomes a little lighter and cooler. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and open shoes, also T-shirts and thinner jackets.
Is the trip safe in India?
Even with low levels of crime, as a tourist it is good to keep your personal belongings in a safe place during your walks. As in any country, in the busiest places, such as Gary museum, squares, there are people on who would be interested in your wallet.
Internet connection in India?
The Internet connection is good in most of the cities, and is relatively fast, of course, except for the more remote locations. Wi-Fi can be found in the good hotels, restaurants and cafes.
What tip should we leave in India?
Usually the tip is included in your bill, but if it is not, it is normal to leave 10% of the value of the bill if the service is good.
Is drinking water safe in India?
We recommend not to drink water from the mains in India but to buy bottled water. World famous brands of water are available in most stores in the country.
